Horween Card Wallet Giveaway
I want to sincerely thank you all for supporting Age Leather Goods, or, for that matter, any maker you may support. Reblog this photo over the next week or so, and I will randomly pick one of those reblogs to win the pictured card wallet. This helps me grow my business, but more importantly, serves as a tangible thank you. I hope to do this periodically, and your support will make that possbile.
Q:Sounds like your time in AL was filled with hospitable Southern folk. Come back soon. Love the leather... Keep up the good work!
Yes sir, the folks in Alabama were very good to us (as they have been the several times we’ve stop and stayed with them)! Glad that you like my work, and I appreciate you saying so! :)
I apologize for not posting as much for the last week, but I’ve been stranded in Alabama with sporadic internet connection… Long story short, we were making our annual jaunt from West Virginia to Houston, TX and had stopped at a church in Guin, Alabama on the way down. On the second leg of our trip (AL -> TX), we hit a deer with the van just across the Mississippi state border. Thankfully, no-one was injured.
So, the kind folks at the church in Guin, AL put us up all this week and took care of us while the van was being repaired. During this time, I marked out parts on a beautiful side of Horween Brown Chromexcel, Cut them out, Punched stitching holes, and Stitched them up! So, here’s the process in a nutshell via photographs.
TL;DR: On a trip, hit a deer, stuck in AL, Headed home tomorrow, Oooh, pretty pictures!
